A Suite for Piano and String Trio

From the Composer:

Composing Perseverantia was my way of processing everything that has happened in my home country since February 2022. Music, particularly instrumental music devoid of lyrics, communicates in a universal language. And while I did not intend for this work to be an easy listening experience, I hope that its message of resilience, empathy, and hope reaches those who choose to listen.

Stylistically, Perseverantia weaves together the many strands of my musical life, including my background in post-classical composition, decades of experience touring the world as a jazz musician, and my Ukrainian and Jewish roots, all converging, hopefully, into a single cohesive artistic statement.

PERSEVERANTIA is a suite in 11 movements:
